HTC's flagship smartphone - The HTC One M9

HTC's latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9 was announced on March 1st at the annual Mobile World Congress event held in Barcelona, Spain. Although the designs of this phone are quite similar to the HTC One M8, there have been some big changes in the specs of this new smartphone.

HTC One M9

The HTC One M9 has a super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen of 5 inches with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels ( ~441 ppi pixel density ) and the screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Due to the tightly packed colors of its screen, the smartphone provides a vivid and bright display for its user to view.

Speaking of its CPU, the HTC One M9 is operated by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57. It also uses a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 as its chipset and an Adreno 430 as its GPU. Along with a 3 GB RAM, the processing speed offered by this flagship smartphone is very swift and can perform tasks in a matter of seconds and can also run high-end games without any lag.

Also, the phone comes with a set of two cameras- a 20 MP primary camera  with sapphire camera cover lens and a 4 MP secondary camera with HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging. Geo-tagging, automatic simultaneous video and image recording, smile detection, etc. are some of the features provided by the smartphone for clicking photos and filming videos.

Furthermore, the smartphone is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery which gives a standby time of up to 391 hours on 2G and up to 402 hours on 3G. The HTC One M9 comes with a memory of 32 GB and if the user feels a lack of storage space, the memory can be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of a microSD card. Also an Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) has been used as the smartphone's operating system.

HTC One M9 will be available in the U.S in the early spring (according to sources). So it most likely will take quite some time to release in Nepal. Let's hope it shall be no later than 2015 itself.
