Gionee Elife E8, the most awaited flagship smartphone of Gionee has finally been revealed in an event held in Beijing! However, the smartphone is expected to be launched officially in the mid of July in China. The smartphone looks to be solidly built with classic looks and touches. If you are looking for a smartphone with excellent cameras, this is the phone you should keep an eye out for.


The Gionee Elife E8 comes with an AMOLED display of 6 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (~490 ppi pixel density). The colors are very vivid on this smartphone considering its huge display screen. However, we do not know if the display screen has screen protection on it or not.

The smartphone uses an octa-core 2 GHz Cortex-A53 as its CPU alongside 3 GB of RAM. The chipset used in this smartphone is a MediaTek Helio X10 and it also houses a PowerVR G6200 as its GPU. The Gionee Elife E8 operates on an Android OS, v5.1 (Lollipop) and an Amigo 3.1 UI. Looking at its specs alone, we can say that the smartphone provides excellent processing speed and offers zero lag gaming experience.

Moving onto its camera, the Gionee Elife E8 comes with a set of two cameras- a 23.7 MP primary camera and a 8 MP secondary camera. The 23.7 MP clicks beautiful photos with optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash. Some features of the camera is that it has 1/2.3" sensor size with geo tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection,panorama and HDR. It also records videos of 2160p@30fps.

Furthermore, the Gionee Elife E8 is powered by a Li-Po 3500 mAh battery and comes with a memory of 64 GB. Other features include sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass.
