The Lava Iris X8 comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 ppi pixel density). The colors look bright and vivid on the phone and the screen also has a Dragon Trail Glass protection on it for protecting its rich display from scratches.

Moving onto its specifications, the Lava Iris X8 has an octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 as its CPU along with 2 GB of RAM. An Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) operates the device bringing out smooth overall performance in the smartphone and the octa-core processor enables the user to have a lag free gaming experience. Also, the smartphone comes with 16 GB of memory which can be expanded upto 32 GB.

Like most of the other smartphones in this price range, the Lava Iris X8 comes with a set of two cameras - a 8 MP primary camera with LED-flash and a 3 MP secondary camera. Also, the smartphone provides options like geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama for clicking pictures. Other features on the Dual SIM smartphone include a proximity and an accelerometer sensor.

Also, powered by a Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery, the smartphone provides a standby time of up to 291 hours and a talk time of 10 hours on 3G.
